ABOUT SOWING THE WORD
Sowing
the Word (STW) is a personal ministry of the Central Baptist Church of Somerset,
Kentucky. STW began in April 2008 out of a desire to exalt the Lord
Jesus Christ by propagating the Biblical Gospel. STW provides free
Gospel tracts, holds Bible conferences, and provides evangelism training
resources for Christian workers throughout the world. STW also
publishes a monthly publication called "The Gospel Call". This
publication is designed to stir and instruct Christian workers in
Biblical evangelism.
Sowing
the Word (STW) is also the host of the School of Biblical Literacy (SBL).
Launched in November 2009, the SBL provides free Bible study guides and resources to assist and
encourage Christians in their personal study of God's Word.
PERSONAL TESTIMONY
The
below Gospel tract contains my personal testimony of the saving grace of
God. In this tract I share how through war, I came to know my
precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
1. We
believe in the infallible, verbal inspiration of the whole Bible and
that the Bible is the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice
2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit
3. We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ; His virgin birth; His sinless
life; His miracles; His vicarious and atoning death; His resurrection;
His ascension to the right hand of the Father; His premillennial,
personal, and bodily return.
4.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts
sinners, regenerates, seals, secures, and indwells every believer.
5.
We believe Satan is a fallen angel, the archenemy of God and man, the
unholy god of this world, and that his destiny is the eternal lake of
fire.
6.
We believe man was created in the image of God, but sinned and fell
through disobedience, and that the entire human race shares in man's
lost and depraved nature.
7.
We
believe salvation is the gift of God by grace alone and is received
through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; and that this faith is
accompanied by repentance; and all who trust in Jesus Christ for
salvation are eternally secure in Him and shall not perish.
8.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who
are saved will receive their glorified bodies and will dwell forever
with the Lord, and those who are not will be cast into the lake of fire,
a place of everlasting torment.
9.
We
believe the Lord Jesus Christ instituted His church during His personal,
earthly ministry. He is the Head of His church. This church is to
assemble together in Christian love for the purpose of worship, prayer,
the breaking of bread, the edification of one another, and instruction
from the Word of God.
10.
We
believe the Lord Jesus has given the responsibility to His church to go
into the whole world and make disciples. This is the chief task for the
church. This is to be accomplished by going into the world and
proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, baptizing those who trust in
Jesus as their Savior, and teaching them to be obedient to all the
commands of the Lord Jesus Christ.
