Economic stability? Diligent leadership? World peace? While each of these would be great, America's greatest need is JESUS. Let me explain: Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything? If you have lusted, the Bible says you’ve committed adultery (Matt 5:28). God must punish all sin. The Bible says that it only takes one sin to make us guilty (James 2:10). On Judgment Day you’ll be guilty, and will end up in the Lake of Fire (Rev 20:15). But God sent His Son to die for you on the Cross. Jesus took your punishment upon Himself, and then rose from the dead—defeating death. America's greatest need is mankind's greatest need—salvation through Jesus Christ. So repent today, trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior, and you will receive everlasting life (John 3:36).
Tips for Use:
Politics has always been one of the most common topics of conversation. People love to talk about the economy, governmental decisions, foreign policy, etc. Also, the vast majority of Americans "profess" to be Christians. So, they will not be too alarmed if you make mention of our need for Jesus. Use this tract to move a conversation from "worldly" topics to a discussion about Jesus. Or, simply state how that America needs Jesus and hand them this tract. You can say something like, "Speaking of that, here is a card that speaks about that need......take a chance to read it when you get time."
