Laboring In Your Field of Harvest

...The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few...”
Luke 10:2

If you are Christian you, no doubt, have a sense of our Lord’s personal command for you to “make disciples” (Matt 28:19-20).  If you live in America, approximately 3/4’s of the population professes to be a disciple of Christ (i.e “a Christian”).  Yet, the overwhelming majority of these do not even believe in the existence of Satan and a large portion think Jesus was a sinner! (www.barna.org)  Of the few who actually have a firm foundation in Biblical doctrine, few of these possess a tangible, true faith in Jesus.  After all, if you truly believe something in your heart, it guides your actions.  Right? (James 2:18)  The widespread apathy in churches is not evidence of spiritual slumber, it is evidence of no spiritual life.  “Faith without works is dead” (James 2:20)  So, what is your  “field of labor” in America today?  It is to reach false converts—those who think they are saved, but are not.  To prepare as a laborer in this field, seek to become intimately familiar with Biblical evidence of genuine conversion.  Ask “Christians” why they think they are saved.  Then, share God’s Word.
